Who we are. Tidy Life is published by Bowski Games. You can write to us at bowskigames@gmail.com. We are the controller of the information described here under UK data protection law.
The short version. There is no account and no password. The game does not ask for your name, your email address or your age. Your progress is kept on your phone.
What stays on your phone.
Play statistics. As you play, the game notes simple statistics with your random install number: levels started and finished and how long they took, items found, features used, the looks you pick for the people in the game, adverts shown, and purchases started and made. From time to time it sends them to our statistics server, so that we can see which levels are too hard or too easy and make the game better. They carry no name, no email, no Apple ID and no advertising identifier, and we do not use them for adverts or share them with anyone. The game does this only where Google's consent form says it may (you agreed, or the law does not ask); if you withdraw consent it stops, and deletes what it had not yet sent.
Adverts. Tidy Life shows adverts through Google AdMob. When the game first opens, Google may show its own consent form; Google shows it only where the law asks for it, such as in the UK and Europe, and you can reopen it from Settings where it applies. On an iPhone, Apple also asks whether the game may track you, just before the first advert is shown. Say no to either, or give no answer, and the game carries on exactly the same; the adverts are then not picked for you, or are not shown. Google's software in the game may collect information about your phone, such as its internet address and, if you allow tracking, its advertising identifier, under Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We do not receive that information; Google gives us totals, such as how many adverts were shown. To change your mind about tracking on an iPhone: Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
Purchases. Purchases are made through Apple. Apple takes the payment and we never see your card or your Apple ID. When you buy something, or restore a purchase, the game sends Apple's signed receipt to our server so that we can check it is real. The receipt names the product, the transaction number, the date and whether it was a test purchase, and the game adds your random install number. We keep that record.
Invite a friend. Where the game offers it, Settings has a page called Friends and gifts. The game makes a short invite code from your random install number. When you share it, your phone's share sheet sends the words and link through the app you choose; we do not see who you send them to. The game tells our server your code and your random install number, so that we can match a friend's code to you. When a friend types a code, their random install number is linked to your code so that each of you can get a gift. To stop people farming gifts with fake or repeat installs, the game also does a device check with Apple: Apple gives the game a token that stands for your phone, our server sends it to Apple, and Apple tells us only whether this phone has already been counted as an invited friend; we then ask Apple to remember that it has. The token does not tell us who you are, and we do not keep it. We never see names, phone numbers or contacts, and the game never reads your contacts.
Reminders. The game can remind you when your next gift is ready, or when an event opens. These are notifications made on your phone itself; nothing is sent from a server. The game asks first, with a card of its own, and then your phone asks. You can turn them off in the game's Settings or in your phone's settings.
Who else sees it. Other players see nothing: the game has no profiles, names or messages. We never sell what we hold about you. Information goes to Google, as above, and to Apple for purchases. The companies that host our servers (Render and Supabase) hold what we keep, because they store it for us.
How long, and deleting it. What is on your phone goes when you delete the game. On our servers we keep three things tied to your random install number: the purchase receipts, the invite links and the play statistics. We do not delete them on a timer. To have them deleted, write to bowskigames@gmail.com with your invite code (it is on the Friends and gifts page in Settings). We then delete your invite records and your play statistics, and we take your install number off your purchase receipts. The receipt itself (transaction number, product and date) stays in our sales records with no link to you.
Your rights. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, take a copy of it, or have it deleted, by writing to us. If you think we have got something wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children. Tidy Life is for adults. It is not directed at children and it does not ask your age. If you think a child has used the game and we hold something about them, write to us and we will delete it.
